By June , Practice What You Preach had sold over , copies in the United States. Besides the title track, which has been a staple of the band's concert setlists for more than three decades, Testament rarely plays any songs from Practice What You Preach anymore. Out of the album's ten songs, "Confusion Fusion" is the only one that has.

Practice What You Preach is a thrash album: deafening, hostile, frenzied, and vehemently anti-authoritarian. Yet it also boasts a truckload of chunky rhythms and fuzzy riffs that speak to Testament’s love for rawk. In this sense, it’s a great crossover effort.

Nightmare [Coming Back To You] () The penultimate song on Practice What You Preach and it is the shortest song on the album. Not really my favorite on the album but it has a fast drums beat and its kind of a bit punky, of course apart from the absolute blinder of a solo. 3/5 Confusion Fusion ()/5.

Aug 08,  · 'Practice What You Preach' is undeniably a good album, but lacks the high body count of killer tracks that are found on both of its predecessors. There are some very good songs in the form of the title track, 'Perilous Nation', 'Sins of Omission' and 'The Ballad'. But the rest of the album, while technically proficient, is largely forgettable/5().
